(Fairbanks, AK) - Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 the Fairbanks International Airport (FAI) installed a freestanding Mamava lactation suite near the passenger screening checkpoint across from The Local.
"We are thrilled to now offer a lactation suite to traveling mothers," said Angie Spear, Airport Manager. "Our top priority is the health and safety of the traveling public and this new addition to the terminal offers a safe and private space for mom's on-the-go."
The suite provides privacy, cleanliness, and all you need to pump or nurse an infant. The Mamava pod is secure with two spacious benches, a fold-down table, provides space for a stroller, and has power outlets to plug-in a pump. The Mamava pod can be unlocked by downloading the free Mamava app on iOS and Android devices. The app also includes a location finder feature to identify one of the almost 900 pods across the United States and Canada. To learn more about Mamava visit https://www.mamava.com/.
