Are you having trouble reaching the DOT&PF Employee Intranet?
I see the error “This site can’t be reached. Check if there is a typo in web.dot.alaska.gov”.
That’s a sure sign you are not connected via the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client. If you're on a mobile device, you'll need the AnyConnect App (Apple | Android) connected and running in the background. If you are inside a DOT&PF facility you do not need a VPN connection - your workstation is on the State of Alaska (SOA) network. Contact Helpdesk if you are encountering this error within the SOA network.
I’m trying to log in to the DOT&PF Employee Intranet, but it’s not working.
You'll be prompted for your SOA (State of Alaska) credentials, it’s just a matter of entering your userid/username and password. If you’re still having trouble, consider one of these:
- Have you changed your SOA password recently? That’s the same password you use for Outlook e-mail and MS Teams.
- Have you tried using a different browser? Internet Explorer should not be used anymore because it’s obsolete and exploitable. Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome are all modern browsers that are recommended.
- Have you tried clearing your browser’s password cache? Often the browser caches an old password, so your session continues to fail. There is no cache when using a "Private" or "Incognito" mode with your browser.
- Are you a State of Alaska employee that needs access to the DOT&PF Intranet? If so, please request access to the intranet site through the webmaster .
