Environmental - Spill Reporting Procedures for Tenants

Report uncontrollable spills and spills in excess of 10 gallons or more to Dispatch at 907-474-2530. Ask for assistance if needed. If you discover a spill, report it to Dispatch even if you are not the person responsible for the spill.

Responsible Parties must also notify the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) at 907-451-2121 of all reportable spills. Follow the ADEC spill reporting requirements outlined on the Spill Reporting Placard.

For spills of 1 to 10 gallons, record the spill in a spill reporting log and submit the log monthly to ADEC and FAI Environmental.

The operator or agent responsible for the spill shall take immediate action to report, contain, and clean up the release according to applicable federal, state, and/or local law.
