DOT&PF is using a web-based software called AASHTOWare Project (AWP) to manage its construction projects. If you are a contractor or subcontractor on a DOT&PF project awarded after January 1, 2021, you will be required to use this software to submit certified payroll to the State of Alaska.
DOL, DOT&PF, prime contractors, and subcontractors sharing the same system means you only need to submit your certified payroll once!
Access to the AWP website is free and your account will automatically connect to the construction project you are working on.
We will be offering AWP training November 17, 18, and 19 and December 8, 9, and 10 at 9:00 a.m. (Alaska time). This will be a chance for you to hear an overview of what to expect, follow along as the instructor gives a tour of the new system, and then take it for a test drive while we are here to answer questions.
Sign up for any of these session that work with your schedule here. While we hope to see you, we know you are busy. A recording of the training will be made available on the AWP website before January.
Thank you for reading and sharing this information! You can expect another email from us with training session dates in early November. If you have questions about AASHTOWare Project and how it may affect your business, please contact Christine Langley, AASHTOWare Project Manager, at christine.langley@alaska.gov.
Have you heard? Contractors and subcontractors will need to use AASHTOWare Project to submit certified payroll starting this January. DOT&PF is using a new web-based software called AASHTOWare Project to manage its construction projects. If you are a contractor or subcontractor on a DOT&PF project awarded after January 1, 2021, you will be required to use this new software to submit certified payroll to the Alaska Department of Labor (DOL).
Who does this affect?
All contractors and subcontractors who submit certified payroll to DOL for DOT&PF jobs awarded after January 1, 2021.
How does this benefit me?
DOL, DOT&PF, prime contractors, and subcontractors will all be using AASHTOWare Project. All of us sharing the same system means you only need to submit your certified payroll once!
Access to the AASHTOWare Project website is free. Your account will automatically connect to the construction project you are working on.
What can you expect to happen next?
We will send monthly email updates, host public meetings, and update our website with information as it becomes available. If you know someone who wants to receive information about AASHTOWare Project, please send them to our website to sign up for email updates.
Will there be training on how to submit certified payroll in AASHTOWare Project?
You bet! DOT&PF and DOL will be offering live training classes in November and December. These training sessions will be recorded so that you can watch them later on your own schedule. Written guides will also be created for you to use as you submit payroll. Information about training will be emailed to this email list and posted on our website.
