RESEARCH & INNOVATION

EXPLORING TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS

Building and maintaining Alaska's transportation infrastructure is a persistent challenge because of its remoteness, the vast areas it covers, and environmental challenges like severe weather and thawing permafrost. We conduct research and apply innovative techniques to ensure we continue to effectively prepare for and respond to our transportation system's continually evolving needs.
