The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is proposing to replace culverts and address drainage issues in the Point Stephens neighborhood in Juneau, Alaska.
Purpose & NeedThe purpose of the project is to characterize all water catchment areas that influence the conveyance of surface water and evaluate the location, geometry, and conveyance capacity of existing DOT&PF hydraulic structures. These engineering evaluations will be used to assist with improving current DOT&PF infrastructure and their continued use.

The project is anticipated to occur in 2026, pending available funding. Temporary traffic disruptions and delays are anticipated in the Point Stephens and Point Stephens Spur neighborhood during the construction of this project, and such delays would be addressed in a traffic control plan as the project progresses.
