Richardson Highway / Steese Expressway
Corridor Study Project Project No. 60799
Concepts

Three corridor concepts have been developed with varying degrees of access and mobility. The term mobility refers to reducing travel time through the corridor. The term access refers to providing direct connection to adjacent properties along the corridor.

Concept 1 Preferred Concept

Concept 1 (high mobility, low access) emphasizes mobility. It converts major at-grade intersections in the corridor to grade-separated interchanges. Links to projects under this concept are below:

Concept 2

Concept 2 (moderate mobility, moderate access) attempts to balance mobility with access. It's a blend of at-grade intersection improvements and grade-separated interchanges. Links to projects under this concept are below:

Concept 3

Concept 3 (low mobility, high access) emphasizes access. It maintains and improves the existing at-grade intersections in the corridor. Improvements may include additional lanes, turn pockets, and frontage roads.
