Advanced Clearing

QAP and its subcontractors will be onsite beginning March 2, 2026, to start construction on the Sterling Safety Corridor Improvements project between milepost (MP) 82.5 and 94. Construction for this initial phase will consist of clearing trees and shrubs within DOT&PF right-of-way (ROW).

Stockpiled wood from clearing activities will be stored at 42140 Sterling Highway in Soldotna (across from the Birch Ridge Golf Course). No mechanical loading will be permitted. Please plan to load wood by hand.
