DOT&PF created committees to provide feedback to the Study Team throughout the PEL Study. The committees played an important role in the study and provided meaningful feedback to the study team regarding corridor needs and potential solutions.

Agencies and Tribes Committee

The Agencies and Tribes Committee (ATC) engaged Tribes and local, state, and federal agencies and organizations throughout the PEL Study process. The ATC was composed of members from the following organizations:

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
  • Alaska Department of Natural Resources State Historic Preservation Office
  • Municipality of Anchorage
  • Anchorage Watershed Management (wetlands, floodplains)
  • Anchorage Parks and Recreation
  • Municipality of Anchorage Historic Preservation Commission

  • Port of Alaska
  • Merrill Field

Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) represented local business owners, property owners, neighborhoods, potentially impacted groups, and stakeholder groups. The CAC was composed of members from the following organizations:

Technical Advisory Committee

Technical Advisory Committee

The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) evaluated specific technical aspects of the PEL Study and provided detailed analysis, comments, and input in areas of subject matter expertise. The TAC was composed of members from the following organizations:

    • Public Transportation Department
    • Office of Emergency Management
    • Parks and Recreation Department

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee (EC) provided guidance, advice, and decision-making throughout the PEL Study at key decision points. The EC was composed of the following leaders:
