Under the leadership of the AIAS Director, and in collaboration with the Controller's office, the AIAS Budget Team is responsible for fiscal management and strategic resource planning for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) and Fairbanks International Airport (FAI).
We play a vital role in ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively to maintain operational efficiency, infrastructure development, and long-term sustainability for both airports.
Our mission is to uphold transparent, equitable, and responsible financial stewardship by developing budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
We work closely with airport leadership, operational teams, and external stakeholders to support the day-to-day functions, capital improvement projects, and strategic growth initiatives that keep ANC and FAI running smoothly.
By prioritizing financial stability and efficiency, we help ensure that ANC - one of the world's busiest cargo hubs - and FAI - a key gateway to Interior Alaska - continue to provide safe, secure, and high-quality services for passengers, airlines, and cargo operators alike.
We develop and monitor annual budgets for ANC and FAI, ensuring financial stability by tracking cost trends such as utilities, fuel, and supplies.
By working closely with airport leadership and stakeholders, we align budgets with operational needs and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety, security, or service quality.
We oversee financial compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while managing grants, lease agreements, and revenue streams to support airport operations.
As one of the world's busiest cargo hubs, ANC requires strong financial oversight to support large-scale cargo operations, passenger services, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.
The AIAS Budget Team ensures resources are allocated efficiently to maintain safe and seamless operations.
FAI serves as a critical gateway to Interior Alaska, supporting passenger travel, cargo operations, and tourism.
We work closely with FAI leadership to fund essential maintenance, operational needs, and capital projects - ensuring year-round reliability under challenging arctic conditions.
