The project is in the planning phase, and the project team wants to hear from the public about the current and potential future uses of the Unalaska Airport.
Three public meetings and comment periods will be held from fall 2020 to fall 2021. They will be accessible online and via telephone and local television.
The master plan update process has benefitted from direction from a Stakeholder Advisory Group (SAC) that reflects a wide breadth of interests to ensure multiple points of view are represented. The SAC includes representatives from businesses and organizations with heavy airport use. The SAC has met with DOT&PF multiple times to advise the airport master plan, and committee members have assisted with engaging their constituencies during opportunities for widespread public input.
On September 16, 2021, the project team met with the Stakeholder Advisory Committee and gave a presentation on the preferred alternative. View the presentation materials here.
