Come celebrate the opening of the first Protected Bike Lane (PBL) Pilot in Downtown Anchorage on Thursday, May 30th at 5:00pm! Join one of the Group Rides testing the PBL leaving from the Anchorage Museum or Elderberry Park at 4:30pm.
Arrive by bike and and have it safely parked by Bike Anchorage, stay for the Life After Five Concert or join Assembly Member Daniel Volland at the City Nerd Nite: Transportation Talk at Akela Space.

Then stay for the Anchorage Downtown Partnership Live After Five Concert featuring Woodrow!

Elderberry Park Group Ride: assemble at 4:15pm, group ride / walk starts at 4:30pm along the Protected Bike Lane to Town Square Park. (Hosted by the Anchorage Park Foundation)

Seed Lab Group Ride (6th Avenue and A Street): assemble at 4:00pm for refreshments and learn more about the Protected Bike Lane pilot project downtown before joining the group ride to the ribbon cutting ceremony at Town Square Park, leaving at 4:40pm. (Hosted by the Anchorage Museum and Bike Anchorage)

90.3 KNBA – Our Community By Danny Preston - Listen now to the KNBA Our Community segment.
The Anchorage Downtown Protected Bike Lane Pilot Team visited the 90.3 KNBA radio station to talk with host Danny Preston about the upcoming protected bike lane pilot. Anna Bosin (DOT), Brad Coy (MOA), and Alexa Dobson (Bike Anchorage) shared information about the upcoming installation and ribbon cutting ceremony happening in downtown Anchorage this summer.

Bike to Work Day 2024
Bike to Work Day is an annual celebration of cycling in Anchorage and this year it’s taking place on Friday, May 17 from 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM. You can participate individually or with a group. We encourage you to get together with co-workers, family members, household members, friends, and anyone you want to ride your bicycles around town and enjoy the event with.
