Why so long?

This figure shows the steps remaining after the 75% design was presented to the public at the October 13, 2022 Open House. The preliminary Right-of-Way acquisition plat was reviewed by the Mat-Su Platting Board and conditionally approved February 8, 2023. This project requires numerous utility relocations and purchases of private property. Coordination with individual utilities and property owners in compliance with Federal requirements will take time.
