The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is working to resurface Wasilla Fishhook Road in Wasilla from East Seldon Road to East Tex-Al Drive. The proposed project will reclaim the existing pavement structure in place, overlay with new pavement, and apply pavement markings to the roadway. Guardrail, roadway shoulder repairs, drainage improvements, sign replacements, and grubbing will be included as necessary. The project is working to extend the service life of Wasilla Fishhook Road, reduce ongoing maintenance costs, and adjust ditch grading and culverts such that the roadway will have proper drainage. The proposed improvements will be constructed within existing right-of-way.
The project team is anticipating 100% design in October 2024 and construction in summer of 2025, contingent on the availability of funding.
Estimated cost of construction is approximately $8 Million
