Project Overview

This project will resurface VFW Road between Eagle River Loop and Eagle River Road. The work includes roadside hardware, drainage improvements, ADA improvements, and utility work as necessary. The project also addresses an area of slope instability which could undermine the existing roadway.

Notice of Road Closure

June 2 - June 16, 2025
VFW Road, between Eagle River Loop and Eagle River Road, will be closed to through-traffic. The bridge over Eagle River will be completely closed as crews work on bridge repairs and upgrades. Vehicle traffic traveling across the river will be detoured to the Glenn Highway or Eagle River Loop Road. Pedestrians will follow posted signs and flagger instructions for access across the bridge. All residents and businesses will have continued access to side-streets and driveways along VFW Road.
