  • Striping

  • Utility relocations
  • Vegetation clearing and grubbing

Current Status

Project design is complete, and construction is underway. Construction contractor QAP began construction in August 2026 with clearing and initial survey work along Big Lake Road. Work along Big Lake Road will begin at the Parks Highway and progress toward North Shore Drive in approximately one-mile segments. Activities include drainage improvements, structural dig-outs, asphalt reclamation, pipe replacements, and paving.

Residents and area travelers can expect to see construction crews and equipment within the project area, temporary traffic control measures, reduced speeds, lane shifts, and intermittent delays during construction
activities. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained.

Work on the Big Lake Road/North Shore Drive roundabout and on Church Road is planned for 2027. Construction is anticipated to be completed in 2027.
