LHD RWY 14/32 (Gravel Strip) CLOSED for Rehabilitation planned for 2-26 May 2022:
LHD RWY 14/32 (Gravel Strip) is slated to be CLOSED for rehabilitation beginning 2 May 2022 (wx & conditions allowing). The expected duration of the project is approximately three (3) weeks. The rehabilitation closure is to remove and replace 12” of gravel and to make electrical and drainage improvements. The effort will entail a much more thorough/ in-depth version of the typical spring mx grading & dust control work including re-bedding and resurfacing the gravel runway, applying dust palliative and other rehabilitative work to rejuvenate the strip for use well into the future.
Construction plans and schedules are subject to change on short notice. Please remember that with any construction project, unknown conditions may arise and changes might be required. Please check current NOTAMs and the LHD ATIS for the latest information.
