Parking & Transport
When you're catching a flight or greeting loved ones, parking is available immediately adjacent to our terminals, both short-and long-term, in addition to our Park, Ride and Fly lot, and Cell Phone Lot waiting area.
Airport Shuttle
A free airport shuttle takes passengers between the South (Domestic) Terminal, Employee Parking Lot and Rental Car Facility every 15 minutes. Shuttle service from the North (International) Terminal is available on an on-demand basis. A dedicated telephone line will connect you directly with shuttle dispatch for this service. Between Terminals
You can take our free shuttle from the South or North Terminal to the other terminal or to the Rental Car Center.
Park, Ride & Fly
Airport shuttle service to/from the Park, Ride & Fly Lot is available on demand.
Request a pickup by using the wall-mounted phone adjacent to the Terminal Connector.

All Other Shuttles
The pick-up location is outside baggage claim at both terminals. Contact the shuttle provider for schedules and more information.
South (Domestic) Terminal: The airport's hotel-shuttle pick-up location is directly outside Baggage Claim on Level 1 across from door 6.
North (International) Terminal: The airport's hotel-shuttle pick-up location is directly outside and across from door 1
Off-site private parking lots and other businesses provide additional shuttle service to/from ANC. Pick-up locations are on Level 1 outside door 6 - 8. Look for signs.
Cell Phone Lot
If you're picking up passengers at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport there is now a FREE Cell Phone Lot available for drivers to wait until arriving passengers have deplaned, collected luggage and called to be picked up outside Baggage Claim. The Cell Phone Lot is located in a designated area of the DOTPF Central Region Headquarters parking lot – just two-minutes away from both the South and North Terminals. There are 15 parking spots available during the work week (M-F 7:30am to 5:00pm) and more than 30 spots during the evening and on weekends.
Directions to the Cell Phone Lot: When approaching ANC on West International Airport Road, turn right at the Aviation Avenue Exit and follow signs to the lot. Drivers must stay with their vehicles. Parking along International Airport Road is strictly prohibited. Navigate to the Cell Phone Lot.
Driving Directions
ANC is located at the west end of International Airport Road. Parking is available at the airport and several nearby lots that offer shuttle service to both of our terminals. The majority of airlines and public services are located at our South Terminal.
When driving from the North
Drive south on the Glenn Highway into Anchorage. The Glenn Highway turns into 5th Avenue which goes west into downtown Anchorage. 5th Avenue ends at "L" Street, just before the Inlet. Turn left (south) on "L" Street. "L" Street eventually turns into Minnesota Drive. Turn right onto International Airport Road which takes you directly to the Airport.
When driving from the South
Drive north on the Seward Highway into the south section of Anchorage. Exit the Highway at the O'Malley interchange. Turn left and proceed west on O'Malley Road. O'Malley bends north and becomes Minnesota Drive. Exit Minnesota at the International Airport Road interchange. Turn left (west) onto International Airport Road, which takes you directly to the Airport.

Parking
Parking at Ted Stevens International Airport is easy and convenient. Both short- and long-term parking lots are located immediately adjacent to the terminals, and our new Cellphone Waiting Area is just two minutes away.
Credit and debit cards are accepted as payment for parking fees. A fee will be charged for any lost parking ticket based upon the full-day rate for the specific parking area used, multiplied by the number of days the vehicle was parked there.

The "Park, Ride & Fly" parking lot is located across from the DOT&PF Central Regional Headquarters on International Airport Rd.
The lot is open 24 hours per day / 7 days a week. Airport shuttle bus service is available to/from the parking lot and both airport terminals. Shuttle bus service to/from the Park, Ride & Fly Lot is provided on-call/on-demand.
Public Transit
People Mover Routes 40 and 65 provide service between the airport and downtown or Dimond Center. Weekday service is available from approximately 6am until midnight, with Route 40 buses arriving every 15 minutes. Weekend service is available from approximately 8am until 8pm.

Rental Cars
All rental car companies listed below are located in the new Rental Car Center across from the South Terminal. Free Airport shuttle buses travel between the South Terminal, North Terminal, and the Rental Car Center every 15 minutes, all day, every day.
From inside the South Terminal, TSA security checkpoint
- Take stairs, escalator or elevator down to Level 0
- Follow signs for "Rental Cars" through the tunnel
- Please note: The tunnel is approximately 100 yards long.
From North Terminal
If you are at the North Terminal, you can take our free shuttle to the Rental Car Center or the South Terminal. Request a pickup by using the wall-mounted phone adjacent to the Terminal Connector or call 907-677-1074 from your cellphone.

Taxi/Rideshare
Taxi cabs and rideshare services are available at both the South and North terminals.
Taxi Cabs
South (Domestic) Terminal: The taxi queue is located on Level 1 just outside Baggage Claim, across from Door 3.
North (International) Terminal: The taxi queue is located outside, across from Door 2.
Rideshare Services
South (Domestic) Terminal: All rideshare pickup services (such as Uber and Lyft), are located on Level 2, Ticketing at doors 1 or 8.
North (International) Terminal: All rideshare pickup services (such as Uber and Lyft), are located on the ground level at door 2 on the inner lane of the terminal.
