What is AASHTOWare Project?

AASHTOWare Project is a web-based software designed for state DOTs to manage preconstruction and construction processes. The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has customized AASHTOWare to align with its unique needs and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

How is Alaska using AASHTOWare?

• Since 2018, DOT&PF Preconstruction have been entering project and proposal information in order to use BidX to advertise and award contracts.

• Since 2018, Contractors have been bidding on construction contracts entered in AASHTOWare and advertised through BidX.

• Since 2021, Contractors have been entering Payroll in AASHTOWare Project for all DOT&PF administered contracts.

• Since 2021, DOT&PF Construction and the Alaska Dept. of Labor & Workforce Development have been reviewing payrolls.

• Since 2021, Civil Rights Office have been using AASHTOWare to certify DBEs, manage registered bidders, and set & approve Project Specific OJT and DBE goals.

• Since 2023, DOT&PF Construction have been administering their construction contracts in AASHTOWare including materials testing.
