Jonel Schenk

Ms. Schenk is an Analyst Programmer IV with the Information Systems & Services Divsion serving Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. She programs and supports databases and applications at TSAIA.

Ms. Schenk served in the United States Air Force from May 1989 - December 1997 as a SSgt. Her service is as follows:

  • Military Education: Basic Military Training, Airman Leadership School, Quality Training EPR, and much more. Completed CCAF: Associate of Applied Science in Metals Technology
  • Served in Desert Storm
  • Joined the Air Force as a machinist (on the job training) and then shop was combined with the welding shop to become Aircraft Metals Technology, so Ms. Schenk was sent to welding school. In the machine shop/welding shop we fabricated many aircraft parts such as brackets that were mounted into the wings. The shop welded many cracks on certain aircraft engine parts. The shop also removed numerous stubborn screws throughout and used MIG, TIG, stick welding, and acetylene methods to and lathes, milling machines (to include CNC milling machines) to fabricate parts
  • Ms. Schenk's first duty station was at Dyess AFB, Abilene, Texas where she worked primarily on the B-1 Bomber and the KC-135.
  • Her second duty station was at Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, Alaska

    • NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon
    • AF Outstanding Unit Award with 2 Devices
    • AF Good Conduct Medal with 1 device
