Active Loading and Unloading Lane: The curbside parking in front of the terminal is limited to active loading and unloading only, and vehicles may not be left unattended. If a vehicle is left unattended curbside, a Barnacle immobilization device will be attached to the windshield and a fee of up to $150 will be assessed. Instructions for payment and Barnacle removal are labeled on the device.
Turn Lane: Parking, waiting, and loading/unloading is prohibited in the turn lane located in front of the terminal.
The main parking lot across from the terminal is for day-use only and no overnight parking is allowed in this area. If a vehicle is parked overnight in the short-term lot, a Barnacle immobilization device will be attached to the windshield and $35 per day will be assessed. Instructions for payment and Barnacle removal are labeled on the device.
There are two long-term lots offering 7-day free parking for travelers to use at their own risk. When a vehicle is parked longer than 7 days, a Barnacle immobilization device will be attached to the windshield and $35 per day will be assessed. Instructions for payment and Barnacle removal are labeled on the device. After payment is made, please call (907) 966-2960 to arrange for a State of Alaska employee to release the device. Our airport employees are available 7 days a week from 5 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The long-term parking lots operate on a first-come, first-serve basis, and travelers should make off-site parking arrangements if the lots are full. Vehicles left for an extended period of time may be towed at the owner's expense.
Van shuttle drivers are required to use the new designated parking area and are prohibited from staging in the active loading zone lane. Please refer to the attached airport map for the exact location. If the Van Shuttle parking area is full, drivers are instructed to find space in the short-term parking area.
