Why a corridor study? How is it relevant to you?

Project overview showing mile markers and study areas

Join us to guide the future of the Seward Highway Corridor. Through this process we will bring together residents, agencies and partners together to:

  • Create a vision for the Seward Highway Corridor. The study process brings agencies, partners and communities together to set a unified vision and goals for the Seward Highway corridor.
  • Explore how the corridor has changed over time. The study synthesizes data on traffic, safety and access to guide recommendations. It will also quantify planned and potential growth and development, including population growth, land development, increasing recreation/tourism, and different corridor functions and users.
  • Tell us what’s needed. The study identifies issues, challenges and opportunities along the corridor and will recommend solutions to improve the corridor into the future.
  • Help guide decision makers. The study will guide agency leadership and partners in making decisions.
