The Innovation Team is actively soliciting a wide variety of ideas that improve practices and increases the Department’s efficiency. All manner of ideas are welcome, from new technologies to refining processes.
Once an idea is submitted, the concept will undergo an initial review. This may include research to better understand the situation being addressed, the underlying history and other details. Based on this information, the committee then takes the following actions:
If the submission is found to have merit by the committee, a member will be assigned to work with the idea’s originator to assist them in implementation. The committee will work to identify the resources and steps necessary to execute the idea, but the expectation is that the individual bringing the submission forward will take the lead. If the committee decides not to support the idea, they will (if possible) contact the submitter to inform them of the decision.
