The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is resurfacing Bogard Road between Trunk Road and Main Street in Wasilla starting in May 2025. Resurfacing the road will protect the material under the pavement, extending its life and delaying the need for more extensive repairs in the future. This project is primarily funded by the Federal Highway Administration.
Construction is currently underway. Crews are working on Bogard Road at night, from 7PM to 6AM, between Trunk Road and Wasilla-Fishhook Road/Main Street. The work will begin on the Trunk Road end of Bogard and make its way toward Wasilla as the summer progresses.
During active working hours, pilot cars and flaggers will be directing traffic through the construction zone at times. When pilot cars are active, please follow all signs at driveways and side streets directing traffic to wait for the pilot car before entering the work zone.
You can stay informed about traffic impacts by checking 511.alaska.gov for updated information throughout the construction season. More information about this project and others across the state is available at dot.alaska.gov/construction/.
