ADOT&PF to Host Super Open House

(FAIRBANKS, Alaska) – Interior families can learn about highway and airport projects ready for 2015 construction in one location when the Northern Region Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) hosts its 3rd Annual Super Open House. The public is welcome to attend the event Saturday, April 18, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Hutchison High School, 3750 Geist Road.

The Super Open House will feature information and booths about projects with major traffic impacts in ADOT&PF’s Northern Region. These include Airport Way, College Road, Plack Road, Johansen Expressway and projects on the Parks, Dalton, Glenn and Richardson highways. Representatives from the City of Fairbanks, UAC Community and Technical College, Fairbanks Metropolitan Area Transportation System and Public Employees Local 71 will also share information.

Public Employees Local 71 will provide a complementary lunch, and ADOT&PF’s Maintenance & Operations crews will be on hand showcasing snow removal and other equipment for families. Information about construction employment opportunities will also be available.
