About Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport

Established in 1951, the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) stands as a cornerstone of Alaska's transportation network, connecting the state to the Lower 48 and facilitating access to hundreds of remote communities inaccessible by road.

Boasting a sprawling expanse of 4,837 acres, ANC features three primary runways, the longest stretching to 12,400 feet, making it capable of accommodating any aircraft size or type.

Anchorage's strategic location just 9.5 hours from 90% of the industrialized world cements its position as a pivotal global supply chain hub, handling not only passenger traffic but also serving as North America's second busiest cargo airport and fifth busiest in the world.

With two bustling terminals, ANC offers a seamless travel experience enriched by its connection to the historic Lake Hood Seaplane Base, the world's largest and busiest, showcasing Alaska's rich aviation heritage dating back a century.

As an economic powerhouse generating over 15,500 jobs and serving as a primary link in Alaska's supply chain, ANC embodies the spirit of connectivity, reliability, and innovation essential to the Last Frontier's aviation landscape.
