William J. "Butch" Miller

Mr. Miller is a former Safety Management Coordinator with the Alaska Marine Highway System, and the lead Auditor International Safety Management (ISM), Designated Person Ashore per section 4 of the ISM Code.

Mr. Miller served with the United States Coast Guard, June 22, 1973 to May 30, 2006, Chief Warrant Officer (W4) in the specialty of Boatswain.

Mr. Miller is a Vietnam era veteran with an extensive maritime background encompassing 33 years experience as a former warrant officer (CWO4) in the U.S. Coast Guard, he has served afloat and ashore in operational and support positions. This included two ashore command assignments and various afloat assignments. He has been an Alaska resident since 1993 and called Ketchikan home since 1996.
