ADOT&PF closes Whittier Tunnel due to winds

(ANCHORAGE, Alaska) – The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities has closed the Whittier Tunnel on the Portage Highway due to extremely high wind conditions. The tunnel will remain closed until winds subside, and the road is cleared for traffic.
