Extended Outages at Valley Intersections

(WASILLA, Alaska) –The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) is alerting the public to expect delays due to two complete signal outages at the intersection of the Parks Highway and Main Street/Knik-Goosebay Road and at the intersection of the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and Trunk Road. 

Emergency repairs are in process but may be extensive. Travelers should expect the repairs to take several hours. The cause of the outages is not known at this time.

The intersections are now marked with four-way stop signs. Fairgoers and other drivers should consider taking alternate routes where available. Updates will be posted at 511.Alaska.Gov (or call 511), Twitter @AlaskaDOTPF and the ADOT&PF Facebook page.
