Alaska DOT&PF Introduces Automated Plan Holders Self Registration List

(JUNEAU, Alaska) – The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) announced today the online launch of the Plan Holders Self Registration List, a new automated program that will allow Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) and non-DBE subcontractors to self-register as interested subcontractors for public bidding notices.

The Plan Holders Self Registration List was developed by the ADOT&PF Civil Rights Office DBE Stakeholders Committee to function as an online portal to connect DBEs and primary contractors.

Primary contractors are now required to contact DBEs that have registered for a bid within seven days of the advertised date and use the DBE directory in order to verify DBE certification. Primary contractors are no longer obligated to contact each DBE within a work category listed in the DBE directory. Contractors must be consistent in applying deadlines to both DBE and non-DBE bids.

Further information about the Plan Holders Self Registration List, including details on how DBEs and non-DBEs may sign up, can be found online at dotcivilrights.alaska.gov or by calling 907-269-0851 or 1-800-770-6236 within Alaska.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities oversees 237 airports, 9 ferries serving 35 communities along 3,500 marine miles, over 5,600 miles of highway and 839 public facilities throughout the state of Alaska. The mission of the department is to “Keep Alaska Moving through service and infrastructure.”
