DOT&PF to Host Super Open House in Fairbanks
This event will highlight upcoming 2019 road construction projects in the Northern Region

(FAIRBANKS, Alaska) –Interior Alaska families can learn about road projects ready for the 2019 construction season in one location at the Northern Region Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Super Open House. The event will be held at Hutchison High School, 3750 Geist Road, on Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Super Open House will feature information about projects with major traffic impacts in Fairbanks and North Pole. Featured projects include Mitchell Expressway (Parks Highway MP 356-362) Resurfacing, Richardson Highway MP 353-357 Access Improvements, Badger Road Two-Way Left-Turn Lanes, Gillam Way Reconstruction, Danby – Wembley Roundabout, Gold Mine Trail Road Upgrade, Elliott Highway MP 0-12, and University Avenue Side Streets. Representatives from FAST Planning (formerly the Fairbanks Metropolitan Area Transportation System or FMATS) and Public Employees Local 71 will also share information.

Public Employees Local 71 will provide a complimentary lunch and employment information, and DOT&PF’s Maintenance and Operations crews will be on hand showcasing heavy equipment for families.
