DOT&PF's social media pages are family-friendly forums viewable by all ages. Please consider this when creating posts and comments. When in doubt, ask yourself: does my reply improve the conversation in some way? Be kind to your fellow community members – no cyber-bullying! Constructive criticism is welcome, but remember to criticize ideas, not people. All posts and comments must comply with the DOT&PF rules for posting and must meet the requirements below. If you do not comply, your message may be removed:

  • No content of a discriminatory or derogatory nature. Opinions can be expressed without being offensive, humiliating, obscene or intimidating based on:
    • race, ethnicity, nationality, or physical characteristics
    • gender or sexual orientation
    • religion or non-religious viewpoints
    • political views
  • We do not allow comments that are abusive, hateful, or potentially libelous.
  • No solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency.
  • No external links except for those linking to an official State of Alaska website or sites that directly relate to the mission of DOT&PF.
  • No comments suggesting or encouraging illegal activity.
  • This is a Campaign Free Zone - no comments or postings related to campaigns or elections, as Alaska law prohibits use of State equipment or resources for campaign or partisan political purposes.
  • Do not post adult content. Content classified as "adult" (such as pornography or graphic violence) has no place on the DOT&PF page.
  • No comments that are not topically related to the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities.

NOTE: In extreme circumstances DOT&PF may permanently remove fans who repeatedly violate these rules.
