How do I apply for a permit?
  1. Get an account! Click the button here: Alaska DOT&PF Permit Portal
  2. In the upper right hand corner of the screen click Sign Up
  3. Click the blue Sign Up using Secure Portal button
  4. Select Sign Up and enter your email address and create and enter a password
  5. Press Sign Up
  6. Navigate to the email you entered to verify your account
  7. Once you have verified your account you can once again sign in
What do I do if I forgot my password?
  1. From the Alaska DOT&PF Permit Portal click Login in the upper right hand corner of the screen
  2. Click the blue Login using Secure Portal button
  3. Click Don’t Remember Your password
  4. Enter your password
  5. Check your email for a link to confirm the password change
  6. Enter your new password and confirm the entry
What can I expect once I submit my permit application?

Once your permit application is submitted, you will receive email notifications as it moves through the review and approval process. These emails allow you to communicate directly with DOT&PF staff, making it easy to respond to questions, provide additional information, and stay informed every step of the way.

How will I know my permit is approved?

Once your permit is approved, you will receive an email notification with a link to access the permit and any associated attachments.
