Vehicle Size Limitations

Ensuring the safety of tunnel users is the top priority. To that end, the size of vehicles that can pass through the tunnel will be limited.

Normal Operations

Under normal operations, the following are the maximum dimensions of vehicles allowed to use the tunnel:

  • Maximum of 10.0 feet wide (excluding mirrors)
  • Maximum of 14.0 feet high
  • Maximum of 75.0 feet long

PLEASE NOTE - per the Commissioner's best interest finding the length limitations have been increased from 75 to 80 feet. This has not been changed in regulation, but will be changed the next time the regulations are updated.
