There are two portions of the Sterling Highway that have been designated as a State Scenic Byway.
Sterling Highway's northern segment connects Sterling Wye to Skilak Lake (Milepost 37 to Milepost 75).
Sterling Highway's southern segment is found 82 miles southwest of Skilak Lake. It connects Anchor Point to the end of Homer Spit (Milepost 157 to Milepost 180).
