Mr. Titus is an experienced professional engineer that comes to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities with over 30 years of design and construction experience.

Steve attended Lathrop High School and after graduation served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1975.

He has worked in the construction industry ever since, performing in a variety of roles from planning to design and construction, as both owner and employee. Most recently, he served as the director of the Facilities Services Division of Design and Construction at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, overseeing numerous construction efforts at the flagship campus.

Steve is a life-long Fairbanksan and an active participant in the community. He has coached youth baseball and basketball, and enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities including boating, camping, fishing, and hunting. He is married and a father to four children and grandfather of five.
