(JUNEAU, ALASKA) –The public comment period for the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) 50th Anniversary celebration will close May 11, 2012.
AMHS will begin the yearlong celebration in 2013 and is looking for interesting ideas of how the ferry system can celebrate its golden anniversary. Anyone with ideas is encouraged to email email@example.com before the deadline.
As part of the celebration, AMHS is also looking for unique anecdotal information or photos.
“If you have historic photos, information or a good personal story to share that will help make this anniversary special, the Alaska Marine Highway would like to hear from you,” said Michael Neussl, Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities Deputy Commissioner for Marine Operations.
