ADOT&PF Re-opens Hatcher Pass Road on East Side

(PALMER, Alaska) – The Department of Transportation & Public Facilities will reopen Hatcher Pass Road on the east side today at 6 p.m. The department has completed clearing avalanche debris that covered the road last week.

Alaska State Parks will concurrently open Hatcher Pass to snowmobiles. Due to additional significant snowfall and a stabilized snowpack, the public is urged to remain cautious while traveling in mountainous areas as avalanche danger still persists.
