Miller Named ADOT&PF Northern Region Director

(FAIRBANKS, Alaska) – Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) Commissioner Marc Luiken has named Dave Miller as the Northern Region Director.

Miller has served as ADOT&PF’s Northern Region Maintenance and Operations Director since 2013. He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ petroleum engineering program. Miller has more than 35 years of maintenance, operations and construction experience in the public and private sectors.

Miller worked at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Facilities Services for seven years, first as the director of maintenance and then design and construction. Most recently, he was a senior project manager at ARCADIS-US, where he worked on projects such as the Fairbanks International Airport Terminal Development Program and the Tanana Chiefs Conference Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center.

Miller’s official first day as regional director is Monday, March 16.

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities oversees 237 airports, 9 ferries serving 35 communities along 3,500 marine miles, over 5,600 miles of highway and 839 public facilities throughout the state of Alaska. The mission of the department is to “Keep Alaska Moving through service and infrastructure.”
