(FAIRBANKS, Alaska) – The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) will make emergency repairs to the Susitna River Bridge on the Denali Highway, milepost 79.5, starting on Sept. 15 and continuing through Sept. 20.
During this time, the bridge will be periodically CLOSED to ALL TRAFFIC. Every effort will be made to limit closures to 10 hours or less with an open day between closures.
The bridge is limited to a max gross vehicle weight of 72,000 pounds, max speed of less than 5 mph and one vehicle on the bridge at a time. Repairs are being made with the intent to restore the bridge to normal operational standards and capacity.
