The currently accepted DOT Standard fonts for Survey Drawings are as follows: Simplex.shx or Stencil.shx - Used in "L" or "ML" styles Used for standard text in drawings. Simplex.shx or Stencil.shx WITH 15° Oblique Angle - Used in "LS" or "MLS" styles Used for Italicized text. Steneq.shx or MSimplex.shx - Used in "LE" or "MLE" styles Used for Tables to keep columns aligned. Helv.shx - Used in "H" or "MH" styles Used for titles, etc. Dotfont.shx - Used in "D" or "MD" styles Used for Subdivisions, Lot & Block #'s, etc. ("M" designates a Metric style, and only applies to projects done in Metric Units) Example of text sizing- MODELSPACE- The font shall be scaled by whatever the drawing scale is to be. For example, if the drawing is at 1"=100' scale, then the size of the style shall be 100 times the plotted scale. (L100 would be size 10 in modelspace) PAPERSPACE- Styles used in paperspace shall have "ps" added to the end of the style name, and shall be sized according to the actual size of the text.
