Traffic Data

The Regional DOT&PF Highway Data staff are responsible for the day-to-day collection of traffic data, data validation, analysis and regional reporting. The Transportation Information Group uses this data to provide federally-required reports. Data is made available for DOT&PF engineers and planners, consultants and other members of the public and used to support highway design, maintenance, operations, safety, environmental analysis, finance, engineering economics and performance management. It is also used to meet Federal Highway Administration reporting requirements for the annual Highway Performance Monitoring System.
