Upcoming Activity
The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) plans to rehabilitate approximately 1.3 miles of State Street from just south of 1st Avenue to the Skagway River Bridge. Proposed improvements include:
- Resurface State Street pavement
- Repair subgrade
- Replace and upgrade curb ramps
- Driveway curb cuts and sidewalks
- Install new signage and road striping
- Replace culverts and regrade drainage ditches as necessary
- Replace the storm drain system
