Project No. NFHWY00147/0A13021

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will the project be constructed?
A: The project’s current schedule anticipates construction could begin in the year 2019, but is contingent on obtaining all required project permits and clearances.

Q: What will be the project cost and how is the project funded?
A: The early construction cost estimate ranges between $20-30 million. As the design progresses, the estimate will be better refined. This project is federally funded.

Q: Homes and businesses are in the project area. How will you keep the road open during construction?
A: Keeping the road open at all times during construction is a priority. As the design progresses, we will look very closely at construction sequencing and material staging to ensure we can keep the road open and safe for those who need to use it.

We understand that construction is rarely convenient, especially if you have no other choice but to drive through a construction project. To help mitigate this inconvenience, the design team is exploring the possibility of delivering the project through the Construction Manager / General Contractor (CMGC) process. The CMGC process will allow us to hire a contractor before design is completed, and the contractor will help us identify and manage impacts to the project area and users passing through it.

Q: How can I learn more or keep informed about this project?
A: Check this website for updates as new information is posted, subscribe to our email updates on the right menubar, or emailemail our project manager.
