The State of Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) has contracted with DOWL HKM to complete the Willow Airport Master Plan.

Some of the questions to be discussed in the Master Plan include:

  • How can the community, airport, and highway growth be accommodated?
  • How is aviation demand expected to change at Willow Airport?
  • How much land is needed for future aviation growth?
  • How should non-aviation uses of airport property be addressed? (Iditarod Race restart and business/civic/non-profit organizations)
