ANC Lake Hood Airstrip Runway Protection Zone
Property Acquisition
Project 52336

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), is proposing to purchase six private parcels (approximately 1.5 acres) near the north end of the Lake Hood Air Strip at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), in Anchorage, Alaska.
Each parcel contains a duplex structure which consists of two separate residences. The acquisition may involve eminent domain and condemnation proceedings.
Purchase of this property would rectify the issues of residential dwellings within the Runway Protection Zone (RPZ) of runway 13-31.
