Customer Service Partnership

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and airport businesses have joined together to form a Customer Service Partnership to encourage excellent customer service at the airport.

A major aspect of the partnership is the Mystery Shopper Program. Mystery shoppers evaluate employees of airport businesses on friendliness, product knowledge, customer interaction, accuracy of transactions, and aspects of appearance including neatness of uniforms and name tag visibility.

Airport employees that excel in customer service are recognized monthly and awarded:

  • Complementary free covered parking for a month
  • $20.00
  • Certificate of achievement
  • Outstanding Customer Service Award pin

Of the monthly winners, one is selected at random and receives $50.00.

In September, all the winners are recognized at an annual awards event. All the year's winners are entered to win additional prizes, which are awarded through a random drawing.
