Passenger Services

We are always looking for talented candidates to join the Passenger Services department to kick start their marine career. The primary role of the passenger services positions is to provide "Exceptional Customer Service" for passengers onboard our vessels in a positive, professional and safe manner. Team members help with tasks in the galley, dining room/cafeteria, crew & officer mess, public lounges, staterooms and all other areas as assigned. Review our Job Description for more information.

Shoreside positions are posted on Workplace Alaska as they become available. The recruitment process for vessel positions varies by department: Deck, Engine and Passenger Services. Each department has a different set of requirements and application process for starting a new career with AMHS. The approximately 1,100 AMHS employees are provided with an array of benefits while working in what are considered to be some of the most beautiful and exciting waterways in the world. Unlicensed Deck and Engine

Potential employees with prior maritime experience may qualify for higher than entry level positions that are available. All training and experience is considered during the hiring process. Therefore, candidates with some experience should look into the minimum qualifications for higher level positions. Licensed Deck and Engine
